There is just something about packing up the gear and hitting the road for a session that feels completely refreshing. For this shoot, I loaded up my trusted small tote with all the essential equipment, grabbed a quick gas-station snack and a drink for the drive, and headed out to Lake Rogers Park in Creedmoor, North Carolina.
Heading out that way always feels a little special and close to home for me, too—it always brings back sweet memories of when Caleb and I did our courthouse wedding. their story definitely hit home for me!
If you have never been out to Lake Rogers, it is an absolute gem of a location. The water levels were high and gorgeous, creating the most stunning reflections, and I am endlessly obsessed with Lake Rogers' gorgeous docks stretching out over the water. It provides the ultimate backdrop for capturing candid, natural moments.
When I arrived, I met up with the couple for the session, and let me tell you—they are easily some of the sweetest people ever. From the very first click of the shutter to the final pose, they brought such an incredible energy. We spent the time sharing stories, laughing, and enjoying the beautiful scenery around us. Sessions like this remind me why I love what I do so much.
