Most people see the final images—the edited, polished gallery that captures a beautiful moment in time. But what they don’t see is the journey that happens before I ever pick up my camera.
People often ask me how I balance my life. Being a pharmacy technician, a business owner, a dog mom, and a traveler... it’s a lot! But I’ve learned that my life is just like the photography I love: it’s not about being perfectly posed. It’s about the story.
A Typical Day for Me
My morning usually starts before the sun is fully up. My Husband Caleb and my two Catahoulas, Rusty and Bo , are usually the ones to get me moving. There’s something grounding about starting the day with them; it’s a reminder that the best parts of life happen in the quiet, unscripted moments at home. I love enjoying the mornings.
After a quick breakfast and some cleaning, I head out some days to door dash. In the afternoon, I head into the pharmacy. Working at the counter at CVS is its own kind of storytelling. I’m constantly meeting people, hearing bits and pieces of their lives, and helping them through their day. It’s high-energy and keeps me on my toes—literally!
When I’m not in the pharmacy, I’m in "storyteller mode." That means transitioning from the fast-paced energy of the clinic to the intentional, emotional headspace needed for Beauty in Scrubs Photography. Whether I’m planning a shoot, answering client emails, or prepping for my next travel gig, my goal is always the same: to find the heart of the story.
Why I Do It
Why cram so much into one day? Because I believe that life is made of "in-between" moments. It’s the tired smile after a long shift, the chaos of packing up for a road trip, or the way my husband and I reset at the end of the day.
